Where the water falls, spirit flows.
Ramsey Cascades is the tallest waterfall in Great Smoky Mountains National Park, dropping 100 feet into a scenic pool. The 8-mile round-trip trail winds through old-growth forests filled with towering tulip poplars, yellow birches, and lush understory plants and mushrooms, offering both challenging terrain and stunning natural beauty. Hikers are rewarded at the end with the breathtaking waterfall, though caution is needed on the steep, rocky trail.
