Let’s be clear upfront: this is a short series of opinion pieces and satire about corporate life. Yes, satire. That means jokes, exaggerations, and the occasional outrageous observation about things we all secretly know but rarely say out loud. It also means not every post is a literal, objective report on my workplace.
This series is for entertainment purposes only—like when you laugh at a sitcom about office life but don’t immediately email Jim Halpert’s boss to report him for pranking Dwight. Please, no screenshots to my manager. (That last line is a joke. See? You’re already getting the hang of the tone.)
Why Am I Doing This?
Because corporate life is full of material. The endless meetings that could’ve been emails. The mysterious world of buzzwords like “circle back” and “synergy.” The email signatures longer than the emails themselves. It’s comedy gold, and if we don’t laugh at it, we’ll probably cry into our ergonomically questionable desk chairs.
What to Expect
• Opinion editorials that tackle big ideas in the workplace—sometimes serious, often sarcastic.
• Satirical essays poking fun at the quirks, contradictions, and absurdities of corporate culture.
• Relatable moments that you may recognize from your own work life, whether you’re a cubicle veteran, a remote warrior, or the lone survivor of a mandatory fun committee.
One More Thing
I like my job. I like my team. I like my manager. (Hi, if you’re reading this. You’re great.) This is not a secret whistleblower series. It’s a creative outlet to share observations and jokes about a system we’re all swimming in, one Teams background at a time.
So buckle up, grab your reusable coffee cup, and join me as we explore the fascinating ecosystem known as corporate life—where satire meets sincerity, and “synergy” is just another way to say “I need you to do this by Friday.”
