Today has been one of those soft, quiet days where the world slows down just enough to remind you what really matters. Pongo is recovering from his surgery, which means he needs stillness, calm, and more love than usual. Honestly, I am happy to supply all three.

We have spent our Sunday tucked under the covers, his little head resting against me, his breath warm and steady. The house has been peaceful except for the soothing background hum of nature documentaries on the TV. He drifts in and out of sleep, and I stay right beside him, grateful for every minute.

I love this dog more than I can ever put into words. He trusts me with his whole heart, and in moments like this, when he is healing and needs to feel safe, I feel the weight and the gift of that love. If all Pongo needs today is rest, comfort, and a warm spot to curl up, then that is exactly what our Sunday is for.

Here is to slow days, soft blankets, and the incredible bond with the dog who owns my heart.
