Lamar Valley- Yellowstone National Park

Lamar Valley, in the northeastern part of Yellowstone National Park, is a wide, open expanse of meadows and river corridors often called the “Serengeti of North America” for its rich wildlife. It’s one of the best places in the park to see bison, wolves, elk, bears, and a variety of bird species, especially at dawn and dusk. Accessible by road with many pullouts for viewing, the valley offers both stunning scenery and an unparalleled chance to experience Yellowstone’s wild ecosystem in action. Here are a few pics of the wildlife and landscape from my recent trip in September. I went on the Green Fire Tour arranged by Wildlife For You. Link to website: http://www.wildlifeforyou.com/

  1. Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t been to Yellowstone yet. It’s definitely on my bucket list, and I really want to experience it someday.
