Warwoman Dell to Pinnacle Knob on the Bartram Trail

On a Saturday in early August I got up early and left at first light and drove up to Warwoman Dell in Clayton Georgia.  I did a beautiful 9 mile day hike on the Bartram trail. The Bartram Trail follows the approximate route of 18th-century naturalist William Bartram’s southern journey from March 1773 to January 1777. Bartram explored much of the territory which is now the states of North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and Tennessee.  The whole trail is 115 miles.

This could be the perfect north Georgia day hike, as it has both waterfalls and mountain views!
